What benefits do Rebel Members receive?

As a Rebel member you will receive 50% Off festival submission fees, 30% Off festival tickets, a Rebel Film Festival t-shirt, access to  winning festival films online and exclusive offers with our industry partners.

How much does a Rebel Membership cost?

A Rebel Membership costs £35.00 per year.

What partner offers can I get access to as a member?

Our team is working hard to establish new relationships with film-relate organisations in order to offer our members the best deals possible & support film-maker’s careers. Our partner offers do change from time to time as our relationships change with organisations, so we’ll keep you up to date with the latest deals through our newsletter.

If you don’t have access to the partner offers in the My Account section of the website, it is most likely as you did not complete the Paypal Payment process. Navigate to the ‘Rebel Membership’ section in the ‘My Account’ menu, hover over the Rebel Member text and you will see the option to ‘Finish Payment’.

How do I Renew/ Delete my Rebel Membership?

Once registered, you’ll have access to all the Rebel Member benefits for 12 months. To renew your membership, simply navigate the membership information part of your account, hover over your subscription & hit renew. Please send an email to hello@rebelfilmfestival.com if you would like to delete your account.

Which festival films are available online to members and for how long?

Exclusive online access to the winning films from all festivals is given to members for a period of 14 days after the festival has finished.

Can I pass on the membership discount codes to my friends & family?

Sadly not. As these are exclusive offers for Rebel members that we’ve negotiated with our partners we cannot allow anyone to freely pass on discounts to friends & family.

SUBMISSIONS

When will I be notified about whether my film has been selected?

We do our best to give filmmakers as much notice regarding selection as possible, each festival has a different notification date that can be found on our FilmFreeway listings. On average we aim to notify all successful filmmakers at least 6-8 weeks before the event, we do receive a very high number of entries and make every effort to inform all entrants. Our notification date is also listed on all of our FilmFreeway listings, if on the rare occasion you don’t receive an official selection email please do get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

How much does it cost to enter my film?

Submission costs vary based upon entry Category and how early you submit your film, on the right hand side of our FilmFreeway listings you can view the different entry fees for each festival.

If my film is selected, do I receive tickets to the festival?

We offer all screening filmmakers two tickets to festival, these tickets grant you access to all festival screenings. Please note that in the event of extremely busy screenings we do have a priority based ticketing system whereby filmmakers whose film is screening in a particular section take precedent over other attendees.

If my film is selected, do you provide bursaries for transport & accommodation?

Unfortunately, at this point in time it’s not possible for us to be able to offer financial support to travelling filmmakers. However, we do our best to negotiate preferential rates with partner hotels at each of our venues – the festival page on our website is updateded with travel & accommodation information each year before an event.

How do you decide what films are selected for screening?

After you’ve submitted you film to one of our festivals it is first watched by one of our selection committee (festival staff & winner’s alumni), we aim to have at least two members of our selection committee watch each film we receive. The selection committee then decide upon the long-list of potential films to screen, from here festival staff further narrow down the selection based upon the quality of the films & programming requirements. Once our final official selection is chosen we then pass the films onto each of our festival judges to decide upon the festival award winners.

I entered my film and have not been notified, what should I do?

Firstly, my apologies, we receive a really high number of entries and do our best to track all of them and inform filmmakers by the selection date. If for any reason you haven’t been contacted regarding the official selection please send us a short email with your name and film title and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
